Not true! Often this
Not true! Often this break-neck pace leads only to fatigue, burnout, and injury.
What most people also may not realize, there are several, easy ways to redistribute your time and create ?smarter? workouts. These common sense, turbo-chargers cost little or no money, will help change your body in a positive way, and all without giving up a lot of time.
Here, I?ve given you four simple strategies that can help you turbo charge your workout (and your body), too:
Warm Up and Cool Down Sufficiently. In short: take 10. Strive to take 10 minutes before heavy exercise to get blood flowing with light aerobic activity (walking, or a series of slow arm and leg circles) to get the large muscle groups moving and prevent injury. At the end of your workout, try to opt for 10 minutes of light stretching, aiming at the major muscle groups: arms, back, chest, and legs.

Chocolate money box led to decade of growth for plastics company
0 Comments | Hull Daily Mail, Jul 28, 2010 | by CATHERINE LEA
A CHOCOLATE teapot may not be much use so the saying goes, but a chocolate money box has been the making of Dearing Plastics Ltd.
Cadbury’s “chocolate” savings box is in reality made of injection moulded plastic – a contract which provided Dearings with the springboard to a decade of growth.
In the past two years alone the Carlton Street-based company has doubled its turnover towards Pounds 1.5 million, with its latest year showing an increase of almost 40 per cent.
And, now employing 15 people and anticipating further significant recruitment, it is continuously investing in increasing capacity and training.
It recently moved into a new 10,000sq ft facility, enabling manufacturing around the clock to ISO 9000 2001 standards.
A niche, bespoke manufacturer to clients across a huge range of sectors, it is also a nominee for the NatWestbacked Small Business Of The Year Award, part of the Mail News And Media The Business Awards.
The family firm was launched in 1986 by Eric and Barbara Dearing.
Their son Andrew took over as MD following his parents’ retirement and he attracted new investment from Andy Harris, now a director.
Dearing began to grow, and an inquiry from now defunct Humbrol Airfix led to the savings box contract, which helped fuel further expansion.
Today, clients, generally needing small, high-quality batches, range from toy and electrical manufacturers to makers of caravans and other leisure products.
Mr Harris said: “We manufacture for them, but it is what we add to the relationship which makes us so valuable to most of our customers.”
In most cases, customers own the tooling used on Dearing’s machines.
“But we have a wealth of experience in helping design that tooling, helping reduce both cost and time to production,” added Mr Harris.
“We don’t own the products, but we do treat them as our own in terms of our commitment to quality and responsibility to end users, working closely with clients from concept to delivery.”
Working with the Manufacturing Advisory Service enabled the firm to “lean think” its processes, providing additional client benefits.
And a strong entrepreneurial streak is typified by the company’s reaction to a radio bulletin announcing Humbrol Airfix’s manufacturing rights had been sold.
Within days meetings had been held with new owners Hornby plc – talks which led to further growth of the Dearing business.

Cadets' home is safe thanks to funds support [Edition 2]

LESS than a year after launching a fundraising campaign, work has begun on a Pounds 65,000 refurbishment project at the Falmouth and Penryn Sea Cadet unit.
The sight of scaffolding on the unit in Commercial Road, Penryn has delighted everyone, as it safeguards the building and the unit for the future. Cadets and the management committee raised the money, along with Pounds 10,000 for annual running costs, in just 11 months.
Chairman Gill Grant said: “I never thought we would get there.
“But people have been incredibly generous. Had it not happened the building would have become unusable.”
A grant of Pounds 25,000 from Sita helped kick-start the fundraising.
“I have a fantastic team of volunteers who have done all the donkey work,” said Mrs Grant. “The kids are very excited.”
Work on the first phase, external work, is now in its third week. Funds have come from a variety of sources including personal donations, yacht clubs, Rotarians and Lions, businesses, the Royal Naval Association and RNAS Culdrose and charitable trusts.
All major contributors will be remembered on a plaque to be put up when the work is complete.
Alongside fundraising, the committee has been busy with contract negotiations, planning and preparation work

Ex-lawyer jailed for violating probation
0 Comments | Buffalo News, May 11, 2010 | by Matt Gryta
Kevin J. Love, a former lawyer with long-standing drinking and cocaine problems, was sentenced Monday to 16 months to four years in state prison on probation violation charges linked to his two most recent drunken driving arrests.
Love, 45, of Hamburg, complained to State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia that Erie County Probation Department officials mishandled his court-ordered inpatient treatment and keep trying to force his parents to pay for what he calls that incomplete treatment.
Buscaglia imposed the prison term on Love’s March 10 guilty plea to violating his probation sentence in the DWI cases.
The judge also said he will urge state prison officials to keep Love in a Western New York prison so he can be near his young son and take advantage of local prison substance-abuse programs.
Love has been in custody since September and completed a month of court-ordered inpatient treatment for substance abuse.
Kenneth F. Case, Love’s court-assigned attorney, said his client has accepted responsibility for his actions.
“He is an alcoholic, and that reality has finally hit home, and he’s more than happy to accept responsibility for what he did,” Case said.
But prosecutor Bethany S. Solek and probation officer David Brown told the judge that Love keeps blaming others for his substance-abuse problems.
Love, who resigned from the legal profession last year to avoid automatic disbarment, had pleaded guilty last fall to drunken driving in connection with his arrests Aug. 2., 2008, on Camp Road in Hamburg and Sept. 11, 2009, when he struck another car on South Park Avenue.
Though Love served the six-month jail term Buscaglia imposed Nov. 5, he violated the five years of probation he also received, refusing to complete Buffalo City DWI Court programs

It has been a busy season for the Legislature and Gov. Mark Parkinson, who has signed more than 70 bills this session, some of which are listed below.
Because legislators toil on matters of interest to us, I try to do my part by reading and trying to stay somewhat informed. Hopefully, this update will be of interest to you. The information was provided by Rep. Ann Mah, D-Topeka, who tries to keep her constituents informed.
– HB 2125 requires a register of deeds to get a receipt showing that all taxes due on real estate have been paid before any plat or replat of survey. This is proposed to protect buyers.

So you?ve scraped and saved, now you?ve finally gotten together a semi-respectable home theater system. You want even more, but the idea of spending another few thousand on new front speakers doesn?t cut it. What can you do?
There are ways to get the most out of what you have without breaking the bank. There are several areas you can look at to ensure your theater is set up correctly and performing at its best.
Cables and Interconnects ? It?s imperative the signals are transferred from your source components to your speakers, going through various components along the way, with the least amount of degradation. Make sure your audio, video and speaker cables are all of good quality and that none are old and corroded. You can use contact enhancer to be sure the connection is really good.

My grandfather had an accident away from home, and when the police officer arrived, he explained it was the other guy?s fault. (Of course, I don?t remember whose fault it was now.) The Police officer asked how he could say that, when my grandfather had clearly run a stoplight.
My grandfather with a straight face walked the police officer around his vehicle and showed him the warnings on all four sides.

Auto Accidents
in Law / Personal Injury (submitted 2010-05-26)
Just because you’ve been driving for years doesn’t mean you won’t, at one point or another, do something that might be dangerous. Experience allows us to drive fast without too much worry, judge the road after a rain, and more, but complacency or taking your eyes off the road for one second too many can lead to a serious auto accident.
There may be an occasion where you may need to get a lawyer if you’ve been involved in a car accident. There are a few types of accidents where you will definitely want to get an experienced car accident attorney. These circumstances include:
- If a fatality has occurred
- If anyone has suffered a serious injury, such as a spinal cord injury or traumatic brain injury
- If someone was intoxicated at the time of the accident
Hiring a personal injury attorney in any of these cases will help you to understand your rights or your claim to monetary compensation.
When to Consult a Car Accident Attorney
There may be other reasons to consult a personal injury attorney if you have been involved in a car accident. If the other party or parties involved in the accident are hiring lawyers, then you should consult one to learn whether it is in your best interests to hire one to protect your rights.
You should also consult an attorney if an insurance company is acting in bad faith. If your insurance company or the insurance company of the other involved party is digging in their heels about paying legitimate claims for property damage or medical bills, hire an experienced car accident attorney
